"Peace at Home, Peace in the World"
Sabancı Üniversitesi Sanat ve Sosyal Bilimler Fakültesi Uluslararası Çalışmalar Lisans Programı Mezunu Buğrahan Namdar, 2015-2016 Mezuniyet Töreni'nde lisan mezunları adına bir konuşma yaptı.
Öğrendiğimiz en önemli değerlerden biri eğitim ve bilimdir.
Sabancı Üniversitesi'nde edinilen tecrübelerin kendileri için bir reform olduğuna değine Buğrahan Namdar, birden çok doğrunun, çok farklı fikirlerin olabileceğini ve bir arada bulunabileceğini öğrendiklerini söyledi.
“En kıymetli değerlerden diğer biri ise, “küresel insanlar” olmaktır.”
Üniversite öğrendikleri en kıymetli değerlerden birinin küresel insanlar olmak olduğunu vurgulayan Namdar, konuşmasına şöyle devam etti: “Gerek üniversitemizin eğitim kültürü, gerekse yıllarımızı geçirdiğimiz yabancı arkadaşlarımız, bize bu imkânı sağlamıştır. Sizlerin de izniyle bizde bu konuda en çok etkili olmuş olan yabancı arkadaşlarımıza teşekkür etmek istiyorum: Mere Pakistani doston. Mujhe tumhara bohot shukriya ada karna hai. Kyunki tumhari mojoudgi se hamari cultural taleem waseeh hue. Aur hamari university mei thora “masala” aya. Pakistan aur Turkey hamari dousti ki tarha hamesha bhai bhai rahaigai. İnşallah.”
“Pale Blue Dot”
“As Sabancı students, the core of our experience has been about becoming true global citizens. I would like to refer to one amazing picture that 1990: which was named “Pale Blue Dot”. In this picture, you see a pale blue dot which is representative are planets. It is the picture taken from space and it is tens in huge of the vastness of the space.”

“My dear friends, this is our only home. If we are to live here, we are to live all together. If you want to part against the wars and hatred, if you want to build new world wonders, we have to do it cooperatively. Only then we will be able to ‘Imagine’ like John Lennon and we will ‘Dream’ like Martin Luther King Jr. and then we can achieve ‘Peace at Home, Peace in the World’ like Mustafa Kemal once said. The bricks we will lay for future will be placed by each one of us, regardless of our titles, our positions, and places. Together, we will build a better future.” Lisansüstü Mezunu Buğra Güngör, sözlerine "Yolunuz açık olsun!" diyerek son verdi.
